I am an experienced massage therapist and sports injury therapist offering services in Guelph and Elora. I provide treatment and assessment of soft tissue dysfunction in both a clinical and a sporting environment in order to enhance your health and fitness. My specialty is treating injuries, however I do provide a wide variety of services including sports/occupational injuries, pre & post-natal, deep tissue, relaxation and hot stone massage. I also provide services for clients involved in MVAs (Motor Vehicle Accidents) and WSIB (Workplace Safety& Insurance Board) claims. Please ask about my new hot stone treatment for IT band and hip problems specifically designed for you runners out there.
I studied massage therapy and sports injury therapy a 3 year program at the Canadian Therapeutic College, graduating with honours. I have extensive work with athletes and sports teams, but I enjoy working with a wide variety of clients.
In 2008 I completed courses in hot stone massage and cervicogenic headaches. I also attended the London Hockey Concussion Summit.
My passion for sport and sports related treatment specifically is reflected by my continuous involvement both professionally and personally as an athlete, coach and team therapist. This involvement has seen me working with several sport teams including Mohawk College varsity badminton and cross-country teams, Hamilton Hornets Rugby, and Burlington Track and Field Club. I am a level 2 certified Track & Field coach in the disciplines of middle & long distance and sprints and hurdles. I have a vast knowledge of running biomechanics. I have 6 years coaching experience as well as being an avid runner myself. I also enjoy kayaking and canoeing in the summer.
I am currently working out of Balance Integrated Health Solutions a multi-disciplinary clinic in Campus Estates Plaza (Gordon St & Harvard Rd) in Guelph on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. I also In Elora at Eramosa Physiotherapy on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. I am looking forward to expanding my clientele in Guelph and the surrounding area.
